Any interested member is invited to apply for election to serve as any of the following officers or representatives. Open positions are listed in the chart below.
Deadline to apply is March 29, 2015.

The Nominating Committee shall nominate at least one nominee per officer or other position. No applicant shall communicate with the committee or any member of the committee about a matter relating to the committee’s business, except through the executive director.
The Nominating Committee is chaired by Eric Cooperstein, immediate past president of the HCBA.
The Nominating Committee will report its nomination for each position to the Board of Directors for election by the board at its regular May meeting. Any unopposed nominee is automatically elected.
Besides the HCBA’s formal elections, additional opportunities for service through committees and sections during the 2015-16 bar year are available by presidential appointment or section elections. Other Leadership Opportunities:
Those interested in service and leadership opportunities should also be aware of nominations/elections through the MSBA to positions on Minnesota Supreme Court Boards and ABA representation. This year’s positions include representation on the
Client Security Board (one position, one incumbent), the Legal Services Advisory Committee (one positions), the State Board of Continuing Legal Education (two positions), ABA Representatives (three positions, one for a new laweyr). Interested members must submit a Qualifications and Interest Statement to the MSBA office by Friday, March 20. This form is available on the MSBA website or through Joni Fenner 612-278-6307.
