Mentoring & Discussion Groups

Small Groups. Big Discussions. Networking that Works.

Hennepin County Bar Association’s Mentoring and Discussion Groups really have attorneys talking.  Join the conversation today.

Navigating the increasingly complex and competitive legal landscape is a challenge. Whether you’re a new attorney or nearing retirement, it can be a struggle to balance professional pursuits with a fulfilling home life. What’s your game plan for the years ahead? Or even the next month? Where can you get practical advice when you need it?

The Hennepin County Bar Association’s Mentoring and Discussion Groups can help. These small group get-togethers provide the answers you’re looking for from those who know best—other attorneys.

Designed to meet the needs of all bar members, from rookies to seasoned professionals, the program provides an easy way to exchange advice and insights with other lawyers while you expand your network, and make new friends along the way.

Participating attorneys are put into groups that generally meet for breakfast, lunch or happy hours once a month to discuss whatever is on their minds—from substantive law, to legal marketing, to new technology.

Members from all practice areas and levels of experience are encouraged to join. This year, we’re also adding groups focused on specific practice areas, and a group for retired members and those nearing retirement.

This year's program kicked off with a luncheon at the HCBA on Friday, November 2, 2012.

You can still take part in the program this year. Contact the HCBA to be added to a mentoring group.
