Sign Up for New Mentoring and Discussion Groups

These small group discussions cover it all, and members from all practice areas and levels of experience can participate.  Groups provide a great way to exchange advice and insights with other lawyers, while you expand your network and make new friends along the way.  Discussion groups typically met once a month for breakfast, lunch or happy hour to discuss whatever is on their minds.  Topics can range from substantive law and legal marketing, to technology and practice tips.  From work work/balance to the future of the profession--and everything in between.  Let's get the conversation started.  New groups are forming now.  Details >>

Meet Tom Nelson:
2014-15 HCBA President

The most obvious question about Tom Nelson is whether there is more than one of him. Perhaps he has found the secret to cloning himself. Nelson has handled such a wide variety of legal matters that, when he started his career (and even today), he has described his practice area as “door law”—meaning, whatever comes in the door.  His work in the community and in our profession has been similarly wide-ranging and varied.  He is living a full life; indeed, and his contributions are many.
