  Fourth District seats - open or challenged in the 2008 election.
With the close of election registration in July, the stage is set for this fall’s judicial elections for Hennepin County District Court. Three seats on the Hennepin County bench are being challenged. One contest will be narrowed during the primary, where six individuals have thrown their hats in the ring seeking to fill the open judicial seat vacated when Judge Wexler retired.

Information about the candidates in each contest is available from the links below.  The primary election will be held Tuesday, September 9 and the general election is Tuesday, November 4

The Hennepin County Bar Association adopted the attached resolution and supporting documents on May 9, 2006, creating a Judicial Election Campaign Conduct Committee. All candidates for district court judge, contested and uncontested, have been requested to sign and return the Affirmation to the HCBA.
