Lawyers Pledge of Professionalism

Addressing the need for minimal standards of professionalism by members of the bar, and encouraging colleagues to strive for far loftier goals, the HCBA membership adopted this pledge in 1993.

During 2008, then-HCBA President Sonia Miller-Van Oort wrote about the pledge in her column in the Hennepin Lawyer, and encouraged attorneys to sign the pledge, and display a copy in their office, and work to uphold the ideals state within.  View Ms. Miller Van-Oort's column here.

Copies of this pledge, suitable for framing, can be picked up at the HCBA office.

RESOLVE
matters expeditiously and without unnecessary expense.

KEEP
my clients well informed and involved in making the decisions that affect them.

ACHIEVE
and maintain proficiency in my practice.
