Minnesota Department of Human Rights' Commissioner Kevin Lindsey will discuss current trends in bullying, intimidation and harassment in Minnesota schools, and review existing Minnesota law.
Commissioner Lindsey served as a member of the Prevention of Bullying Task Force, which was formed by Governor Dayton earlier this year to ensure that all students have a safe learning environment. The task force released its recommendations in August, citing a "sense of urgency" to address current anti-bullying laws and systems that are inadequate to meet the needs of our children. Commissioner Lindsey will provide an overview of the task force's findings. Join us for this special presentation.
