The Hennepin County Bar Foundation was founded in 1968, with the express purpose of providing financial assistance to individuals, organizations and projects that are related to the law and the legal system.

The Foundation is a charitable corporation that derives virtually all of its undedicated funds from contributions of individual lawyers who are members of the Hennepin County Bar Association (HCBA).

Historically, the Bar Foundation has supported programs that:

(1) provide legal services to individuals of limited resources

(2) educate the public about the legal system; and

(3) contribute to the improvement of the legal system and the administration of justice.

The MISSION of the Hennepin County Bar Foundation Is to Achieve Equal Justice for All Citizens of Hennepin County by:

IMPROVING the Administration of Justice

INCREASING PUBLIC
understanding of the Law

FACILITATING Delivery of
Legal Services.
