Foreclosure Law Changes:
CFPB Regulations and the Implication of Minnesota
Statutes Section 582.043 on the Foreclosure Process
1.0 CLE credit applied for this program.
The Minnesota Legislature passed Minnesota Statutes Section
582.043 in 2013, which dictates the processes a mortgage servicer must abide by
when pursuing modification agreements with borrowers. The Consumer Financial
Protection bureau is also currently drafting regulations to cover these
processes on the national level. Join us as we explore Minnesota's new
requirements, their implications on the foreclosure process, and how the
federal regulations, if finalized, may affect Minnesota's statutory
requirements.
Featuring: Orin Kipp, Wilford
Geske and Cook PA
