Civil Litigation: Anatomy of a Large, Multi-Party Lien Case: A Small Firm Litigating in the Land of the Giants

1.0 CLE credit applied for this program.

Featuring: Dwight Rabuse, Rabuse Law Firm

This program will describe a large mechanic's lien claim prosecution featuring a mix of arbitrated and litigated payment claims by the general contractor, counterclaims from the owner, differing rulings on lien priority affecting the general and it's subs, and an appeal and remand trial of key issues. We will highlight traps for the unwary in contract drafting and pursuing a mechanic's lien in a complex environment involving competing claims with other contractors and lenders.
