And what does it mean for economic growth in the Twin Cities region if the Met Council has a vision for sustainable land use and transportation, but lacks authority to put it into action? Jim Erkel, the Land Use and Transportation Program Director at Minnesota Center for Environmental Advocacy (MCEA) will discuss recent transit and land use controversies in the Twin Cities region and why the extent of regional government's legal authority matters.
