The HCBA's Law & Literature CLE seminars provide a unique way to earn your ethics and elimination of bias CLE credits. Led by experienced facilitators, these popular CLE programs use short articles and works of fiction as a springboard for active discussions on legal ethics and bias.

Stories will be sent to you once you register and must be read in advance. 
No walk-in registrations.

Ethics stories include: "Virata" by Stephen Zweig and "Chronicle of a Death Foretold" by Gabriel García Márquez 

Elimination of Bias stories include: "Doubt" by John Patrick Shanley and "A Jury of Her Peers" by Susan Keating Glaspell  


Facilitators: Retired Judge Timothy Baland, Literature for Lifelong Learning and Mary-Margaret Zindren, Executive Director, Hennepin County Bar Association
