The Americans with Disabilities Act was enacted 25 years ago.  Much has changed, but issues remain that affect lawyers, our colleagues and our clients. 

Topics will include:

  • Legislative history, development and application;
  • A view from the counsel table of bias that gives rise to disability discrimination claims;
  • Lawyers and stigma:  understanding and responding to stigma against individuals with mental illness in the legal profession.
