Lawyers love to dabble in non-competes, but there is much to know beyond those basics. Three experts in non-compete law and litigation, Jeff Oberman, Laura Pfeiffer, and Craig Trepanier, will take us on a deep dive through the recent case law developments relating to non-competition agreements and other restrictive covenants, covering the latest issues lawyers need to know when drafting, advising, enforcing, or defending against non-competes.
Jeff Oberman, of Oberman Thompson, LLC, is one of Minnesota’s most experienced non-compete, executive and employment lawyers, with more than 39 years of counseling and litigation experience. He has presented over 100 Continuing Legal Education seminars to employment and business lawyers covering many employment issues.
Laura Pfeiffer is a shareholder at Winthrop & Weinstine, P.A., and co-chair of the firm’s Employment Law department. She has extensive experience representing clients in a wide range of commercial and employment-related disputes, including discrimination issues, breach of contract claims, non-competition covenants, trade secret claims, franchise claims, and other business disputes.
Craig Trepanier, of Trepanier MacGillis Battina P.A., represents corporations and individuals in business, commercial litigation, and employment law. He frequently represents executives and corporations in defending non-compete and trade secrets disputes.
