Environmental Law: From Policy to Reality: The Department of Commerce’s role in incorporating green policies in a complex financial and regulatory environment.

1.0 CLE credits applied for.

Featuring: Bill Grant, Deputy Commissioner of Energy and Telecommunications, The Minnesota Department of Commerce

The number of green energy policies has grown steadily over the last 20 years. The Minnesota Department of Commerce is routinely tasked with translating these highly technical environmental laws into financial terms, and takes the lead on evaluating utilities' compliance with energy conservation requirements. Bill Grant, Deputy Commissioner of Energy and Telecommunications for the Department, has been involved with the implementation of nearly all of the environmental policies affecting electric utilities. Deputy Commissioner Grant will share his decades of experience, most recently in the  Dayton Administration, at the Environment Section CLE on February 3, 2016 from 12 pm to 1 pm.
