CIVILITY, ETHICS, AND ANTICS: JUDGES’ VIEWS OF HOW YOUR CONDUCT CAN IMPRESS
JUDGES AND WIN (OR LOSE!) YOUR CASE
Litigation sometimes seems like a war—winning at any cost
occasionally predominates courtroom behavior, and it can overshadow
professionalism, civility and ethics. As
this CLE will demonstrate, however, professionalism and civility are key
components of successful litigation and successful litigators.
This event is in two parts: For the first hour, a panel of distinguished judges and an ethics expert will share their unique insights into
what constitutes professional behavior and how the lawyers’ conduct can influence
the outcome of the case. The panel will
also talk about the ethical issues that can arise in egregious cases. The
second hour will afford everyone an opportunity to socialize in less formal
setting at a reception hosted by our sponsor, the Dorsey law firm.
Featuring: Minnesota Supreme Court Justice David Lillehaug,
U.S. District Court Magistrate Judge Tony Leung, and ethics expert Eric Cooperstein.
Wednesday, April 6 • 4:30 p.m. at the Dorsey & Whitney
law firm, 50 South Sixth Street, Suite 1500, Minneapolis.
1.0 hour of Ethics CLE credit has been applied for.
