Environmental Law: The Environmental Advocate’s Perspective on Environmental Review

1.0 CLE credit applied for.

Featuring: Kathryn Hoffman, Minnesota Center for Environmental Advocacy

Environmental impact statements (“EIS”) for proposed pipelines and mining projects – along with lawsuits challenging their adequacy – have been hot topics recently.  What’s so important about an EIS and why would an organization challenge its adequacy?  Kathryn Hoffman, the interim legal director for the Minnesota Center for Environmental Advocacy ("MCEA"), will discuss the environmental advocate’s perspective on the legal requirements of the environmental review process with recent examples of "what went wrong" and "what went right."
