How Social Media Contact Constitutes Violation of Restraining Order

In an unusually contentious harassment restraining order trial, Hennepin County District Court Referee Richard Trachy created legal precedent and media attention with a verdict in the form of a 20-year HRO because tweeting someone's twitter handle was ruled as an act of harassment. Petitioner Paula Polinsky and Skolnick & Joyce Law hired Social Media Expert, Tyler Olson, as an expert witness for the trial. In this CLE, you'll hear from Tyler who will conduct an overview for you on the summary of the case, the presentation offered, the ruling, and why the ruling is important for future legal considerations related to Social Media. If you expect to have more cases related to social media, you'll want to learn from Tyler on why we will continue to see more cases related to social media.
