Gray Plant Mooty Law Firm Recognized for Commitment to
Diversity
Minneapolis (5-22-08):
-- The
Hennepin County Bar Association’s Diversity Committee
has recognized the law firm of Gray Plant Mooty
with the 2008 Diversity Award for a Legal Employer.
The award was presented to the Gray Plant Mooty firm at
the annual meeting of the Hennepin County Bar
Association on May 22.
The
Diversity Award is given to a legal employer who
displays an outstanding commitment to diversity in the
legal profession. The awards committee took note of the
firm’s commitment to attracting, recruiting, and
retaining a qualified, diverse workforce. The firm has
an impressive record, but seeks to reach yet higher
goals in coming years.
The
firm’s efforts to develop a highly qualified and richly
diverse workforce are directed by four primary
principles: respect, belonging, support, and
generosity. Their principles drive initiatives such as
a carefully-designed summer associate program, extensive
workforce training in a variety of ways (including
through the workplace theater production, Your Face
Here), and the co-sponsorship of numerous legal
community and civic programs focused on diversity.
