Fredrikson & Byron Recognized by HCBA
for Commitment to Diversity

-- The
Hennepin County Bar Association’s Diversity Committee
has recognized the law firm of Fredrikson & Byron
with the 2009 Diversity Award for a Legal Employer.
The award was presented to the Fredrikson & Byron firm
at the annual meeting of the Hennepin County Bar
Association on May 21.
The Diversity Award is given
to a legal employer who displays an outstanding
commitment to diversity in the legal profession. The
awards committee took note of the firm’s commitment to
attracting, recruiting, and retaining a qualified,
diverse workforce. Diversity is a core value at
Fredrickson & Byron.
The firm’s hiring efforts
include activities designed to increase the diversity of
both entry level and lateral level attorneys, including
participation in minority job fairs, targeted outreach
to minority associations and expanded recruiting to
schools with significant diversity in the classes. The
firm has also jointly developed a minority scholarship
program. Their strong dedication to diversity deserves
recognition.
