HCBA Hosts Annual Judges Social

Minneapolis (9-11-09): -- In a long-standing annual tradition, the Hennepin County Bar Association (HCBA) will host its Judges Social on Wednesday, September 23, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Radisson Plaza Hotel in downtown Minneapolis.  The event provides attorneys with an opportunity to get to know the bench in a fun, informal atmosphere.  Hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar are available throughout the evening.  No formal program is presented.

A long-time staple of the HCBA’s calendar of programs, the evening provides plenty of opportunity for socializing with colleagues and the judges.  Last year, 70 judges from state and federal courts joined over 250 lawyers for the evening.  This year, hosted by the New Lawyers Section, a “pre-social” from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. has been added to allow new lawyers to meet with some of the members of the bench.

The HCBA is the largest of Minnesota’s local bar associations, with a membership of approximately 8,400.
