Any interested member is invited to apply for election to serve as any of the following officers or representatives. Open positions are listed in the chart below.
Applications are due by April 7, 2017.

The Nominating Committee shall nominate at least one nominee per officer or other position. No applicant shall communicate with the committee or any member of the committee about a matter relating to the committee’s business, except through the executive director.
The Nominating Committee is chaired by Kimberly Lowe, immediate past president of the HCBA. Other committee members are: Jeff Baill, Traci Bransford, Kendra Brodin, Paul Dieseth, Skip Durocher, Dan Gilchrist, Vince Louwagie, Michael Miller, Monte Miller, Gloria Stamps-Smith, and Brandon Vaughn
The Nominating Committee will report its nomination for each position to the Board of Directors for election by the board at its regular May meeting. Any unopposed nominee is automatically elected.
Besides the HCBA’s formal elections, additional opportunities for service through committees and sections during the 2017-18 bar year are available by presidential appointment or section elections. If you would like to be considered for a leadership position, contact President-elect Thad Lightfoot at email@example.com or HCBA Executive Director Susie Brown at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Those interested in service and leadership opportunities should also be aware of nominations/elections through the MSBA to positions on the Lawyers Professional Responsibility Board (two positions), State Board of Legal Certification (one position), Client Security Board (one position), State Board of Continuing Legal Education (two positions), and Legal Services Advisory Board (one position). Interested members must submit a Qualifications and Interest Statement to the MSBA office by Friday, April 7, 2017. This form is available on the MSBA website or through Joni Fenner 612-278-6307.
