NEWS RELEASE: November 13, 2015
Minneapolis: -- The Hennepin County Bar Foundation (HCBF) announces that the annual grant application process is now open for grants to be awarded in 2016. The foundation is the charitable giving arm of the Hennepin County Bar Association, and has actively supported law-related services in the community since 1968.
The foundation was established with the express purpose of providing financial assistance to individuals, organizations, and projects related to the law and the legal system. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable corporation that derives virtually all of its funding from direct contributions from individual lawyers, area law firms, and other organizations in the legal arena.
Last year, the HCBF distributed 17 grants totaling $127,000 for organizations promoting access to justice in Hennepin County.
Grant requests are due by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 2016. Applications and information can be found at www.hcba.org.
Please note that if you have received an HCBF grant in a prior year, you must reapply to be considered for another grant.
