“My hope is that we can break down some barriers over good company, good conversation, and good food.”
– Adine S. Momoh, HCBA President
HCBA President Adine S. Momoh invites you to be part of our upcoming “A Table for 10” lunch on January 30. Offered every few months, the goals of this new initiative are to help diverse HCBA members expand their professional networks and increase their social circles. All are welcome. "While there are lots of programs designed to educate the legal community about issues affecting diverse attorneys, fewer events are offered to foster inclusive environments for diverse attorneys, particularly attorneys of color and LGBTQ attorneys," President Momoh said. HCBA members will be connecting over breakfast, lunch, or dinner at minority-owned restaurants. Different groups of HCBA members can sign up for each meal.
There’s no set agenda or topic to be covered at each meal. Discussion is open to whatever is on the minds of each group of diners. Everything is on the table–from the trivial to the trial, and all that's in-between. Enjoy each other’s company while you chat, confer, and connect over great food. Find commonalities, celebrate differences, and let your collective conversations lead the way. Don't forget to bring your business cards.
“A Table for 10” registration is open to the first ten HCBA members who sign up. Register now for our lunch, to be held on Wednesday, January 30th at Bombay Palace in downtown Minneapolis from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. There’s no registration fee, but each diner covers the cost of their own meal.
If registration is full, you may join the wait list.
