WEBCAST | BCFP: New Name, New Direction? Federal Regulatory Updates
Ms. Klander and Mr. Newman will discuss recent updates regarding the Bureau’s enforcement and rule-making activity as it applies to consumer-protection statutes. They will cover select enforcement actions brought by the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection and will also examine ACA International v. FCC and the resulting regulatory developments at the FCC as they impact consumer-protection litigation under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
Even if you don’t practice in the debtor/creditor area of law, this CLE is still for you. Many attorneys are regulated as debt collectors and some do not realize it. The entire practice area is fraught with peril and traps for the unwary. We hope that you’ll join us for this informative hour.
