Can’t find time to work on firm improvement projects? No longer. Join us for this open workshop format. Drop in style – stay for all 4 hours or drop in just for a few minutes. Attorneys are invited to bring their laptop to work on implementing any of their law practice tech or process improvements. Workshop leader Jess Birken will be available to work one-on-one with multiple attorneys though they are primarily self-directed. The workshops are also a great opportunity to meet other lawyers working on similar projects and learn from each other. What is "Tech Practice"?
Tech Practice is an exciting new series at the HCBA. Over the course of the bar year, you'll have the opportunity to participate in three unique types of experiences:
Talks- Classroom-style discussions that will help you learn how to design (or re-design) your practice to be more efficient, make clients happy and enjoy your work more. Our knowledgeable facilitators can help every attorney modernize their law practice without huge expense or tech knowledge.
Projects - Drop-in style opportunity to work on those technology projects that you've been putting off. We provide a space and a knowledgeable facilitator. You just need to bring questions and your technology. You'll learn from the facilitator. You'll learn from your colleagues. You'll learn from practice.
Briefs - Quick 5-20 minute recordings/webcasts will provide you with easy-to-follow directions for tech tools that will help you to innovate and improve your practice, keep you in the loop on technology trends that can allow you to work more efficiently, and recap ideas discussed in our longer "Talk" sessions.
