It’s a fact: Nearly everywhere we go these days, we are under some form of video, audio or digital surveillance. With that, the use of audio and video evidence in court is becoming more and more common and widespread. However, there are some great misconceptions regarding the use audio and video evidence. This presentation touches on the crucial California state and federal laws that impact audio/video evidence, the process of investigating and analyzing audio and video evidence, surveillance technology and research, use and playback of audio/video in court and trial strategies for using this type of evidence. Mr. Notowitz will also highlight some of his past high-profile cases he’s worked on, and will explain and demonstrate some of the various techniques that can be used to enhance both audio recordings and video footage.
