Paul Floyd Becomes the 98th President of the Hennepin County Bar Association

MINNEAPOLIS:-- Paul Floyd becomes the 98th president of the Hennepin County Bar
Association (HCBA) on July 1. Floyd is a founding partner at Wallen-Friedman & Floyd
where he practices in corporate and business-related matters, including law firm
succession and compensation issues.

Floyd has been active in association work throughout his career. He is a past president of
the Minnesota Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and a past president of the
Hennepin County Bar Foundation. He also served as an investigator on the 4th Judicial
Ethics Committee, and is a regular CLE presenter.

Prior to working at Wallen-Friedman & Floyd, he was a founding partner at Rau &
Floyd. He also served as shareholder at Fruth & Anthony, and practiced corporate law at
Arthur Chapman. Early in his career, Floyd clerked for the Hon. C. Donald Peterson of
the Minnesota Supreme Court.

Floyd is a graduate of Judson University in Elgin, Ill., and William Mitchell College of
Law (J.D. 1983). He is completing his term as chair of the board of directors for Call for
Justice, a Twin Cities-based nonprofit focused on connecting low-income people with
legal resources. Floyd also chaired the nonprofit Shepherd’s Foundation, an organization
that provides opportunities for medical, legal, and educational professionals to serve in
the Ukraine.

Serving with Floyd in the HCBA leadership for the coming year is the Executive
Committee, including newly-elected HCBA Secretary Jeffrey Baill (Yost & Baill), who
begins the five-year leadership track (to serve as president for 2019-20). Stuart Nostdahl
(Davern McLeod & Mosher) serves a one-year term, representing the New Lawyers
