Seeking Nominations for 2017 Diversity Awards and Professionalism Awards

These annual awards highlight individuals and firms making a significant contribution to the profession and to the advancement of justice. Awards will be presented at the HCBA Annual Meeting on June 1. The awards panels welcome nominations for the following:

Diversity Awards:  Recognizing the substantial and long-term contributions of legal employers, attorneys, and non-attorneys to the furtherance of diversity and inclusion, civil rights, civil liberties, or human rights in the legal profession. Nominations due March 31.

Professionalism Awards:  Recognizing members of the bench and bar who best exemplify the pursuit of the practice of law as a profession, including a spirit of public service and promotion of the highest possible level of competence, integrity, and ethical conduct.  Nominations due March 24.

Transition from Successful Lawyer to Firm Leader

Paul Floyd, 2016-17 HCBA President

Paul Floyd is the the 98th president of the Hennepin County Bar Association. Floyd is a founding partner at Wallen-Friedman & Floyd where he practices in corporate and business-related matters, including law firm succession and compensation issues.
