Small Groups. Big Discussions. Networking that Works.
HCBA’s Mentoring & Discussion Groups have attorneys talking. Join the conversation.
Designed to meet the needs of all bar members, from new lawyers to seasoned professionals, the program provides an easy way to exchange advice and insights while you expand your network, and make new friends along the way. Attorneys are put into groups that generally meet monthly for breakfast, lunch or happy hour to discuss whatever is on their minds—from substantive law, to legal marketing, to new technology.

The HCBA gives three pro bono awards annually to recognize individuals for their commitment to legal services. Through these awards the association seeks to honor specific individuals and to encourage volunteerism and service by others in the broad arena of legal services seeking to serve an often-documented, unmet need.
The Distinguished Service Award recognizes an individual for career-long work on behalf of the community and the two Excellence Awards recognize current or recent excellence in service by individuals from the private sector and from the public/government/judicial sector.
Nominations for the 2014 Awards are due by 5:00 p.m. on December 6, 2013. Awards will be presented at the Bar Benefit gala in March of 2014.
