HCBA Clubs: Which Will You Join?

We launched our HCBA clubs to provide members with more social opportunities and fun ways to easily connect with each other around shared hobbies and interests.  These informal, member-led groups, are encouraged to meet 3-4 times during the year, and provide a new way to expand your social circles. Let us know which ones you would like to join, and if there are any that you would be interested in co-leading

"Vintage" and "New" Lawyers: The Circle of Life

So. Picture this: "Large” downtown law firm conference room; multi-generational attendees; gathered for yet another meeting; opinions aflutter. And then: "Ah, Mr. Nelson, what does someone of your ‘vintage’ think we should do?” [I won’t tell you who asked the question, but his initials are Art Boylan.] First instinct? Strangle the young whipper-snapper. Second instinct? "Slow down, Tom; he no doubt means it as a compliment.” Third instinct? Let’s have some fun with this. Hence, the "Vintage Lawyers Group” of the HCBA.

New Lawyers Section: Happy Hour November 19

Come join the NLS for their first happy hour of the 2014-15 bar year.  Expand your network and learn more about the HCBA's largest section.  It's a fun, casual atmosphere -- no suit, no problem!  Join us on Wednesday, November 19, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the News Room in downtown Minneapolis (on the corner of 10th and Nicollet). Refreshments will be provided. The New Lawyers Section is comprised of HCBA members admitted to practice in the past six years or who are 36 or younger.
