Superioracademic performance and excellent research, writing and analytical skills are required.Qualified candidates will have at least two (2) years of solid employment law experience that includes experience defending claims at administrative and litigated levels with an in-depth understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws including, but not limited to, Title VII, ADEA, ADA/ADAAA, FMLA, FLSA, USERRA, MHRA and other state laws. Experience and familiarity with claims before the Department of Labor-OSHA and specifically under the Federal Rail Safety Act ("FRSA") a plus. The candidate will assist in preparing position statements, responding to requests for information from departmental agencies, interviews and other matters related to employment-related administrative agency proceedings (including responding to and handling EEOC, state, and local charges and similar DOL and OSHA investigations and proceedings). The candidate will also assist with state and federal litigation matters, including preparing, drafting and responding to pleadings, propounding and responding to discovery, reviewing and preparing documents for production, working directly with clients in discovery related phases of litigated matters, drafting briefs for discovery motion practice and/or summary judgment, and assist with trial preparation. This position will also require the candidate to communicate frequently and effectively with client representatives.
