From the Art and the Bar Committee:
Open Call for Submissions for the next HCBA Attorney-Art Exhibit
"Keep close to Nature's heart...break clear away, once in awhile, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean." -- John Muir
The Art and the Bar Committee invites all HCBA members to submit original artwork to be considered for its next exhibit, entitled "Close to Nature's Heart". The exhibit period will run from April 15 to May 30, and will coincide with this year's Minnesota Environmental Institute at MN CLE.
This is a juried exhibit. Works in all media are welcome as long as they incorporate the theme and comply with size and weight restrictions. All levels of artistic abilities and experience are welcome. Works should be no larger than 20" x 30" x 2" (framed or unframed). Due to the physical limitations of the HCBA offices, artworks can weigh no more than 8 pounds, including framing materials.
To apply, submit an image of your work(s) by March 31 via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Each artist may submit up to two images for consideration. The Committee will notify applicants of the results no later than April 3. Works selected for the exhibit must be delivered to the HCBA office no later than April 10. Works chosen for the show should be prepared for hanging using a horizontal wire on the back of the piece. A suggested donation of 20% is requested from each artist from the price of any artwork that is sold during the show.
